CairnGorm Mountain

CairnGorm Mountain has a reputation as one of one of a gorgeous places to ski in the UK.  It also boasts Scotland's only funicular train. It lies just a brief range from the main A9 arterial path which runs in between Perth and Inverness. For non-skiers, there is more to see too. Cairngorm Reindeer Centre

Take a browse through to see Britain's only free-ranging herd of reindeer in their natural habitat. May is an interesting time for us reindeer herdsman as horns are beginning to expand and it's calving period! 

Visit every day at 11 am and 2.30 pm for most of the year. Join a reindeer herder as you make your method up to the mountain.  Stroll among reindeer, stroking and feeding them as the herder informs you a lot more concerning them.
